Exit permits from services centres

The Ministry of Interior has announced that exit permits can henceforth be obtained from any of its immigrations service offices in different districts of the country .

“To make it easy for exit permit applicants, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has activated issuance of exit permits for expatriates and Qatari minors in all services centres spread across the country,” a spokesman said.
Apart from the Passports and Airport Security Department, services centres in  Al-Khor, Mesaiemeer, Al-Shahaniya, HMC, Q-Post, Industrial Area, Al-Shamal, Al-Wakrah, Souq Waqif, Umm Salal, Al-Dhayin and Dukhan will issue exit permits for expatriates and Qatari minors, said the director of Unified Services Centre (USD) Colonel Abdullah Ali Al-Sulaiti.
This is in addition to the facility to apply electronically through e-government portal and self-service kiosks of the MoI spread across the country.  Exit permits for single travel and multiple travels will be issued from the services centres.

For this purpose, filled in application forms available at  the MoI website, with authorised signature shall be submitted along with original ID of the sponsor or establishment card of the company and the passport copy of the sponsored persons. Fee for single travel permit is QR10 and for multiple travels QR500 to be paid by bank cards.
The assistant director of Information Systems Department of the Ministry, Colonel Abdul Rahman al-Maliki said that the exit permits applications can be submitted  electronically also through the e-government web portal or MoI self-service kiosks. These kiosks are available at 11 locations in different parts of the county in shopping complexes and malls such as Lulu Hypermarket, Villaggio Mall and Landmark. The Ministry is planning more kiosks in different locations, he added.    

Using smart cards, individuals and authorised representatives of companies can obtain exit permits electronically and it is password protected to ensure authorisation. After keying in the password, the applicant shall select the exit permit service and furnish the Qatari ID of the travelling person. The system will extract the information and issue the permit.

Tourist Visa through Qatar Airways

Description of Service
This service allows visitors to Qatar to request a visitor visa while on Qatar Airways.

What you need to do

• When the payment process is finished, a pop-up window will appear, including visa information that has been approved.
• Print out the visa information and present it to the relevant authority.

Required Documents

• Copy of the sponsor’s passport and residency.
• Copy of the visitor’s passport (valid date plus entry stamps into Qatar).
• Documents proving relationship of the visitor to the sponsor.

Other Special Conditions

• The period of this type of visa is 14 days, but you can extend it for another 14 days.
• It is not allowed for the visa’s holder to stay more than 28 days in the State of Qatar.
• A fine of 200 Riyals for each day of delay after the 28 day period.
• The relationship between the person arriving and the sponsor is 1st degree (wife – sons – father - mother - brother - sister).
• Proof (and Copy) of the relationship will be required.

Tourist Visa

Description of Service
Citizens of these countries (passport holders only) are issued visitor entry visas before arriving at the border. The service is provided 24 hours a day from any place around world.

Target Audience

What you need to do

• Click on the "Launch e-Service" icon above to apply online.
• Choose the visa type from the visa list.
• Complete the form.
• When you apply for the visa, a web page will appear to confirm your information and you can change/ update information as necessary.
• Make sure all personal information is correct to continue with the visa request process.
• You will get an immediate result for your application (approved or rejected).
• If your application is approved, you will be directed to another web page to pay fees, using your MasterCard or Visa Card.
• When the payment is complete, a web page will appear that includes visa information that has been requested.
• Print out this visa form and present it to the authorised department.

Required Documents
The proceedings will be conducted at the airport.

Other Special Conditions

• The entry visa is issued directly at the border.
• The entry visa is for one month, and can be extended.
• Specified fees must be paid.
• Holders of this visa are not allowed to work in Qatar with or without payment.
• Subject to laws concerning entry and residency of foreigners and resolutions related to that matter.
• Subject to current rules for residents of GCC countries, and people arriving and departing on Qatar Airways (other than the citizens of the previously mentioned countries).
• The delay fee for this kind of visa is 200 Riyal's per day.

Official Visa

Description of Service
This service is for the issuing of free visas requested by ministries and government establishments, for one month and extended for five months after medical tests and fingerprints.

What you need to do
Fill in the special visa form from the relevant government authority.

• Copy of valid passport of the visiting person.
• Copy of the company registration form

Multiple Entry Visa

Description of Service
Issuing a multiple entry visa valid for more than one year to individuals, companies and government establishments that have approval from a specialised authority.

What you need to do

• Complete the form.
• The issuing of a multiple entry visa is valid for one year for individuals, companies, and government establishments that have approval from specialised authorities.
• A multiple entry visa for less than one year are issued to companies that have approval from specialised authorities

Visas for Companions of GCC Residents

Description of Service
This visa is given to servants who are companions of GCC residents or one relative (wife, or child) for 14 days and extendable for another 14 days.

Other Special Conditions

• The companion must have a valid residency in one of the GCC states.
• The beneficiary from this visa should arrive with the resident sponsor or any one of his relatives living in the GCC (wife or child).

Family Visit Visa

Description of Service
This service provides visas for families visiting the State of Qatar.

What you need to do

• This visa is issued for visiting family member. Those who want to visit their relatives residing in the country for a period of one month.
• If the visitor wants to stay more than one month inside the country, he/ she has to undergo a medical test before the month ends. The visa is renewable for five months for immediate family (father, mother, sister, sons) and two months for other relations.

Required Documents
For wife visiting:

• Copy of passport of the husband who is a resident with a valid residency visa.
• A non-objection letter from the employer explaining the salary and profession.
• Certified working contract.
• Marriage contract.
• Copy of wives valid passport.

Any other family member visiting:

Business Visa

Description of Service
This service allows holders of passports of certain countries to get direct entry visa without obtaining previous visas at borders of the state. The visa is valid for 2 weeks and renewable for another 2 weeks and the service is provided 24 hours a day all over world.

Family Visa Application

Description of Service
This service allows employees of the State of Qatar to bring their families from abroad or renew residence visas for members of their families.

• Workers who want to bring their family from abroad or renew residency visas of family members.

What you need to do

• Fill out the family visa application form.
• Get the form approved and get a receipt number for the application.

Required Documents

• A letter from your employer, explaining your position and salary (for those who are working in the government, their letters should be authorised by the Ministry of Labor and Social and specify the contract type).
• Passport copy of husband, wife and children.
• Enclose statements of wife's children and her adopted children and mention adoption reasons.
• Salary statement for 6 months approved by a signature or a stamp from the bank.
• Marriage certificate approved by your country's embassy and by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Copy of birth certificates of children and approved by your country's embassy and by Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
